How to take pickup orders on Timeo (F&B setup guide)
Set up pickup ordering for your café, kopitiam, or restaurant on Timeo: build a menu with modifiers, set pickup windows and capacity, turn on the kitchen display, and take DuitNow/FPX or counter payment.
For a café, kopitiam, bakery, or restaurant, this guide gets pickup orders flowing on Timeo — a menu customers order from, a collection time, and a kitchen display so orders stop arriving as WhatsApp screenshots.
1. Build your menu
Add categories (Drinks, Mains, Add-ons) and items with prices. For each item you can add:
- Variants / modifiers — sizes, sugar level, add-ons.
- A photo — items with photos sell noticeably better.
- Stock status— mark something sold out and it shows as “Sold out” instead of disappearing, so regulars know it’s usually there.
2. Set pickup times and capacity
Decide how customers collect: as-soon-as-ready, or scheduled pickup windows. Scheduled windows let you cap how many orders land in any slot, so the kitchen isn’t buried at 12:30 and idle at 2:00. Set your collection points if you have more than one location.
3. Turn on the kitchen display (KDS)
If you run a kitchen, switch on the kitchen display. New paid orders appear as tickets the kitchen can mark in-progress and done.
4. Take payment your way
Customers can pay online (DuitNow / FPX) when they order, or pay at the counter on pickup. Online prepayment cuts no-show orders; counter payment keeps it simple. You can offer both. See the payments guide →
5. Go live and test
- Open your storefront / menu link and place a test order with a pickup time.
- Confirm it appears in the dashboard (and on the KDS, if on).
- Put a QR on the counter and the link in your Instagram bio.
Running the lunch rush
- Accept / reject incoming orders from the dashboard or KDS.
- Pre-filled pickup contact— signed-in customers’ name and phone come through on the ticket, so collection is fast.
- One daily total — every order and payment rolls into one close at end of day.
